Swimmers from across
Sussex put in excellent
performances at the 2011 GB Masters in
Leeds.
Topping the Sussex results was the Sussex
Martlets team of
Anthony Gimson, Eileen Luther, Claire Willison
and Stephen Braine
who set a new European record of 11.30.70 in the
240-279yrs 800m f/s.
GB records were also broken by Brighton Dolphin
SC in
72yrs+ men’s
4x200m f/s and the 72yrs+ men’s 4 x 100m medley.
Two further GB records were
also set by Martlets.
Between them
Sussex
swimmers bought home
23 gold, 24 silver, and 17 bronze medals
(team events counting as one
medal).
