County Swimming Squads

Sussex County ASA supports three competitive squads for swimmers aged between 9 and 19 years

Objectives

  • To provide a link between club training & Regional/National squad training or camps.

  • To recognise and provide opportunities for the County's most talented swimmers to develop their swimming skills by training and socialising together, improve their self-management skills and raise their competitiveness in a motivating and challenging environment.

  • To provide education for swimmers, coaches & parents so they are better equipped to train and compete at higher levels.

  • To have clear selection criteria.

  • To encourage suitably qualified coaches and team managers to become involved and support the programme.
