SUSSEX COUNTY
DEVELOPMENT SQUAD Posted 21-03-08
Selection for
2008
Any swimmer 9 to 12 years
who finished in the top 8 of the County Age Group BAGCAT points
system (swum in February/March) will form the squad through to
January of the following year. Those swimmers qualifying for the
main squad will attend the higher level.
AIMS
As for the main
squad with the emphasis being on education & acclimatisation to new
training environments, coaches, swimmers, techniques etc, thereby
providing a natural progression into the main squad.
To promote a
basic skills, middle distance focus & individual medley based
progressive programme following national initiatives.
