Join our team of event makers
At every event we need the support of non technical helpers to ensure they run smoothly and our swimmers have the best experience possible.
There are lots of different jobs; from taking the money at the door, helping manage the swimmers, ensuring results are published or joining our IT team.
If you have a little spare time available or want to do something other than sitting in the gallery and would like to help us run events then we would love to hear from you. Just complete the form here and let us have your contact details.
Our calendar includes open meets, County competitions and Regional & National competitions that are most likely to affect Sussex Clubs and swimmers.
The UK Anti-Doping website provides wide ranging information about Anti Doping strategies including warning about the use of supplements. Following their advice could save a lot of disappointment in the future.
ASA’s Performance Pathway
The ASA’s new competition structure for swimming is designed to ensure that all participating swimmers have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience within the sport, and those who aspire to achieve Olympic success are fully supported in doing so.
Developed as part of a broader British Swimming Performance Pathway Strategy, the new structure includes an ASA Summer Nationals (50m) and a new ASA Short Course Winter Nationals (25m).
The aim of the changes is to provide greater opportunities for swimmers to experience national competitions, and to create an aligned competition calendar across England, Scotland and Wales to help coaches support developing athletes within a defined period of training and competition phases.
Sussex ASA has adjusted the format of the Championships and Age Group Competition to ensure that our swimmers can benefit from the changes at National level.
You can find out more about the new competition structure here.
