Seminars

About the seminas

We have arranged lunchtime seminar for parents on Saturday and 11th and Sunday 26th February starting at approximately 1:30pm (after the medal ceremonies from the first session.

These free seminars will focus on sports psychology and form part of the county’s programme to help younger swimmers develop their mind set, confidence and preparation for training and competitions. Both seminars will cover the same topic and last approximately 1hour.

They will be presented by Dr Anastasiya Khomutova who is a senior lecturer in Sports Psychology with the University of Brighton as well as working with a number of athletes across a range of sports.

We have already held workshops for our development squad and will be holding more workshops with coaches and team managers. The purpose of these parent seminars is to provide tools for parents to help their swimmers’ performance well and support their personal growth & wellbeing. This holistic approach will ensure that all the advice provided to swimmers has a common approach.

Capacity at each seminar is limited to 50 people. To allow as many people as possible to attend one of the seminars it would helpful if you only booked a single place.
